All Things New

CALL TO PRAYER
Repeat and or meditate on this verse until your thoughts are centered on God.

Teach me good judgment and knowledge, for I believe in your commandments..
—Psalm 119:66

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Do you wonder, Beloved, that if someone is in Christ they is a new creature? If everything that Christ touches is made new, if he refreshes and revives, if he re-establishes and re-edifies and new-creates wherever he goes, are you at all astonished that those who live nearest to his heart—no, are in vital union with his blessed Person—should also be made new? It would be very astonishing if it were not so!
 —Charles Spurgeon (alt.)

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY
See, I am making all things new.
—Revelation 21:5

TODAY'S PRAYER
Be with me, Lord, as I step out on the untrodden way of this new year. I know not what it may bring of joy or sorrow, of temptation or service; but I humbly commit myself and my way to you. Make the best that you can of me for your glory...
 —F.B. Meyer

YOUR OWN PRAYERS
Allow the above to help guide your own confession, praise, thanksgiving, and/or petition.

THE LORD'S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil; for thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
 —Matthew 6:9-13
