We Are His

CALL TO PRAYER
Repeat and or meditate on this verse until your thoughts are centered on God.

In spite of all assailing foes
I still maintain my ground;
and I shall live among your saints,
your praises to resound.
 —Psalm 26:12
Suggested tune: Amazing Grace (CM)

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY
If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord; so then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s.
—Romans 14:8

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Christ has a right to our service. We are his by every kind of right and title. If we were at our own disposal, we might live however we wanted; but no creature is independent—its own, to use as it will—least of all the saints of God.
—Thomas Manton (alt.)

TODAY'S PRAYER
No matter what happens, help me to remember that I belong to you, O Lord. And because I am yours, help me to serve you no matter what I do....

YOUR OWN PRAYERS
Allow the above to help guide your own confession, praise, thanksgiving, and/or petition.

THE LORD'S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil; for thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
 —Matthew 6:9-13
