Great & Amazing

CALL TO PRAYER
Repeat and or meditate on this verse until your thoughts are centered on God.
Let it be known that you alone—
the Sov'reign Lord by Name,
the One we call the God of All—
are the Ruler we proclaim!
 —Psalm 83:18
SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY
Great and amazing are your deeds, Lord God the Almighty! Just and true are your ways, King of the nations!
—Revelation 15:3
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Q. Why do we pray, Hallowed be thy Name?
A. Acknowledging humanity's utter inability and indisposition to honor God aright, we pray that God would by his grace enable and incline us to know, to acknowledge, and highly to esteem him, his titles, attributes, ordinances, Word, works, and whatsoever he is pleased to make himself known by; and to glorify him in thought, word, and deed: that he would prevent and remove atheism, ignorance, idolatry, profaneness, and whatsoever is dishonorable to him; and, by his providence, direct and dispose of all things to his own glory.
—Westminster Larger Catechism, Q. 190 (alt.)
TODAY'S PRAYER

Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy Name; and deliver us, and purge away our sins for thy Name's sake...
 —John Flavel
YOUR OWN PRAYERS
Allow the above to help guide your own confession, praise, thanksgiving, and/or petition.

THE LORD'S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil; for thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
 —Matthew 6:9-13
